English Course for Teachers: The US State Department has organized a free Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) for teachers engaged in teaching English (Teaching English to Young Learners – TEYL) to minors aged three to ten. The course will be administered by George Mason University as part of the US Department of State’s American English (AE) e-teacher program.

The US Embassy in Dhaka said in a press release that the names would be enrolled for this online course by November 25. After enrollment, participants can log in to participate in the course anytime (day or night). All five modules of the course must be completed by December 2. A digital badge and certificate will be issued to those who complete the required activities with a score of 5 percent or higher.
The US Embassy said the course was designed to introduce English teachers to the theoretical and practical prospect of teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to three-to-ten-year-old students. Through exciting videos and practical lessons, participants in MOOC will work on teaching English methods that aren’t only useful but also fun and appealing to children.
Teachers attending MOOCs will have the opportunity to share ideas with others in their profession. Learn to apply the course material to their unique learning environment. Course-made materials are licensed as CC-BY 1.0. The teachers concerned will be able to reuse, modify, and distribute any training materials identified by CC BY 1.5 in their school or area.
